Course Description: Flamenco Guitar Technique
Do you feel like your hands aren't responding with the speed or character that Flamenco demands? This course with Manuel Montero has been specifically designed for guitarists who already have a foundation in the instrument but find themselves struggling with the technical pillars of the genre.
This is not a course for learning your first chords; it is a technical refinement program. Manuel Montero, renowned for his clinical precision and modern vision, will guide you step-by-step to stop just "playing notes" and start mastering the language of Flamenco with authority.
What will you work on in this course?
The program focuses on the four "horsemen" of the right hand—those that define a professional sound:
Alzapúa: You will develop the power and rhythm necessary for your thumb to become a constant, clear percussion instrument.
Arpeggios: You will learn to independent your fingers to achieve that crystalline fluidity characteristic of great concert performers.
Thumb (Pulgar): Focus on rest-stroke technique and speed for a deep, full-bodied attack.
Strumming (Rasgueos): Mastery of the abanico and finger combinations to achieve a compact, seamless rhythm.
A Bridge to Professionalism
While the course is taught in English, music remains the primary language. Manuel breaks down every movement visually and rhythmically, making it ideal for those who already know the guitar but haven't yet mastered the compás or the strength of the Flamenco stroke. It’s time to clean up your technique, gain speed, and, above all, acquire the confidence needed to perform any palo with ease.
